The Earth Camper represents ARB's bold entry into the recreational vehicle sector, leveraging nearly half a century of 4x4 expertise across all product lines. Developed in Australia, the Earth Camper embodies ARB's commitment to enabling outdoor enthusiasts to travel further and longer off-grid in safety and comfort.
The exoskeleton chassis is built using a one-piece cylindrical 90mm steel frame which is mandrel bent with 3mm wall thickness for superior strength – designed to be taken to those hard-to-reach places again and again.
Seven years of design, engineering and manufacturing went into bringing this camper trailer to market. It is a genuinely-built-for-purpose off=road trailer that exceeds the limitations of mainstream caravans.
The suspension has a vertically-orientated shock absorber utilising extra-long 900mm trailing arms and Old Man Emu Nitrocharger shocks. The vertical orientation allows movement at the axle to achieve 100% efficiency. ARB says it designed the chassis and suspension first, and the rest of the camper was built around it.
The Earth Camper's hard-shell body is designed to protect against the elements, featuring well-insulated walls, roof and bulkhead. A built-in freestanding awning provides 180-degree coverage over the kitchen area. It’s specially angled telescopic poles maximise coverage while neatly packing away into a compartment that seamlessly integrates into the camper's overall design.
The electronic, dual-actuated rear door on the Earth Camper allows for quick and easy set-up or pack-down at the press of a button. It can be bed ready in less than one minute! Both manual-release catches and failsafe overrides are built in.
ARB has made great use of a wide range of built-in storage including the 125kg load rated base rack, provision for two 20L jerry cans, large underbed trundle draw with anti-rollback, rear wet storage locker and a 10-pocket bedhead cargo organiser. Basically, once you’re set-up, everything will have a place.
The heart of any home (even those on wheels) is the kitchen and this camper is no different. It comes standard with a huge dual-zone fridge freezer, a three-burner Thetford stove and a sink plus a stainless-steel benchtop to prepare delicious meals on. Above the fridge, there is a handy drawer you can store pantry items or kitchen crockery and cutlery.
Cleverly compact for easy transitions, from day to night and the road in between.
ARB has included two 70L water tanks centrally mounted over the axle, a digital water level indicator, a 3.0-11.3LPM onboard water pump and a lockable water fill point as standard with the camper.
Inside the Earth Camper you will find a queen-size bed with a thick foam mattress and, along each side of the bed, you have two-bed-level storage pockets and a drink bottle holder. Plus the Earth Camper has another two overhead storage pockets with mesh protectors. Each corner has a Sirocco fan and a reading light, and the rear wall features a large divided storage pocket for books, newspapers and laptops.
