PRODUCT AWARENESS: Nomad Sportfishing Chooses Simrad Yachting

Nomad Sportfishing Charters have chosen to fit Simrad electronics across their range of tenders and 80’ Mothership, Odyssey. Nomad Sportfishing Australia has provided pioneering and unique sportfishing adventures to some of the most remote parts of Australia for over 10 years. Nomad’s first priority is to provide the customer with the very best bluewater fishing adventure holidays available through the use of the latest technology in boats, tackle, techniques and equipment, combined with stunning locations and outstanding service. “We have installed several brands of electronics on our tenders over the years and the Lowrance and Simrad units are by far the most rugged and reliable we have ever used” said Damon Olsen, owner of Nomad Sportfishing. “We clock up hundreds of hours at sea and it is reassuring to know that we have the back up and support from Navico at all times. It really is a testament to their exceptional service. After proven reliability on our tenders we recently made the choice to install a new Simrad NSO Evo2 system on our 80ft Mothership Odyssey. With Simrad’s 5 year Advantage Service program we are assured of the very best support in the industry”. Both 25ft Contenders are fitted with an NSE12 at the helm, an NSS8 on the T-top along with StructureScan, Broadband sonar, RS35 VHF communication and full autopilot integration. The new McKee Craft dory’s are also fitted with an NSS9 Evo2 at the helm. The 80ft Mothership, Odyssey, has recently been fitted with twin 16inch Simrad NSO monitors, NSO Evo2 black box, Broadband Sonar, 4G radar, RS35 VHF and AP70 Autopilot kit. The Simrad range covers recreational vessels of all sizes, from small runabouts and sportfishing vessels up to luxury cruisers and superyachts. The Simrad Professional series offers equipment for search and rescue/patrol boats, work boats, commercial fishing boats, passenger vessels, super yachts and short sea/cargo vessels.
